Roman Rampage

The Roman Rampage is a PARAS'10 event held in Friday Woods on private military land. The course uses woodland trails with uneven ground and includes hilly, muddy and wet sections. The route is made available only on race day.

  • 3-mile loop, entrants may complete one, two or three laps
  • 2-mile junior race for ages 10 to 15

The event offers three entry categories: run, TAB and canicross. Main event entrants must be aged 16 or over. Canicross entries run with a dog. TAB entrants must provide their own rucksack packed to 35 lb excluding food and water; bergens will be weighed at the start and finish. Organisers do not supply bergens. Boots for TAB must provide full ankle support.

Race numbers and timing chips are issued at registration on race day and chips must be attached to laces. Runners and canicross start first, with TAB entrants starting five minutes later. Water is available on the route and at the finish. Temporary toilets are provided at the start and finish area; showers are not provided. Parking will be located within easy reach of the start and marshals will direct traffic. Medals are distributed in the area after the finish. Online entries close at 12 noon on the Friday prior to the event. On-day individual entries for Colchester are charged for each lap and accepted for cash only.
