RIVER THAMES RUN takes place on 31 December 2025 at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club, Riverside, Egham TW20 0AA. The event is a 6-hour timed challenge on a flat, multi-terrain course and has a maximum of 100 entrants. It is licensed by the TRA and run under UKA Athletics rules.

Course and distances

The route is an out-and-back course of 3.28 miles along the River Thames. A 5k option uses an earlier turn point; the 10k is two laps of the 5k course. The 6-hour challenge allows participants to run distances from 5k up to ultra marathon. Participants may start a final lap up to 5:59:59 hours into the event.

Facilities and rules

Toilets and changing facilities are available at the rowing club. There is no official bag drop; bags may be left next to the start/finish line but are unmanned and left at participants' own risk. Parking is available at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds for a fee. An aid table is provided at the end of each lap offering water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of foods.
