ROGUE RIVER, Spokane WA
ROGUE RIVER is a trail event staged in Spokane, Washington, organized by Phase One Missions. Race options include the following distances:
- 30 mile loop around Riverside State Park
- 9 mile run out and back
- 9 mile ruck out and back
The main course is a 30 mile loop that follows the Spokane River, climbs ridge lines, and returns along river-handrails. Navigation is self-directed using a GPX track provided for use with Gaia GPS. Trail surfaces include rocks, roots, gravel, asphalt, hard-packed dirt, and soft-packed dirt.
Five semi-stocked aid stations are sited along the route, with water, snacks, Tailwind Endurance Fuel, NeverSecond C30 Energy Gels, and 1st Phorm protein bars and energy drinks. Some aid stations include bathroom facilities; aid station locations include Seven Mile Trailhead, Carlson Trailhead, Pine Bluff, Marchand Trailhead, and Military Cemetery Trailhead. Drop bags are allowed at Pine Bluff and all aid stations are vehicle accessible to support crews.
Participants must attend a pre-race briefing and are expected to be largely self-sufficient despite available aid station supplies. Required items include a vehicle Discover Pass for state park trailhead access and a phone charging battery. Packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet in Kendall Yards or at the race location. Event finishers receive a Phase One Training Tee and a patch. No refunds are offered. Volunteer time can reduce or waive entry costs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
