Course and logistics

The races use trails in and around Garden of the Gods, North Cheyenne Cañon, Bear Creek Regional Park, and sections of the Pike National Forest. The 100K course covers about 64 miles with roughly 11,065 feet of elevation gain and reaches up to about 11,476 feet; it includes Mount Rosa and multiple long climbs and descents. The 50K is about 32.3 miles with approximately 5,115 feet of gain and a maximum near 9,083 feet. The 35K is about 21.5 miles with roughly 3,388 feet of gain and a maximum near 7,873 feet. Time limits are listed as 22 hours for the 100K, 12 hours for the 50K, and 10 hours for the 35K.

Aid stations and drop bag locations are provided on all courses. For the 100K, crews may access Captain Jack and Old Stage; pacers are permitted beginning at Old Stage or Captain Jack II. For the 50K and 35K, crews are allowed at the finish and drop bags may be left at the finish. There is ample parking at Rock Ledge Ranch.
