Ring the Springs

Ring the Springs is a set of trail running events based at Rock Ledge Ranch in Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs. The event offers multiple distances with established time limits and notable elevation change.

  • 100K - 64 miles, 11,065 ft elevation gain, 22 hour time limit
  • 50K - 32.3 miles, about 5,115 ft elevation gain, 12 hour time limit
  • 35K - 21.5 miles, 3,388 ft elevation gain, 10 hour time limit

Courses travel through North Cheyenne Cañon, sections of the Pike National Forest, city streets, and the red rock formations of Garden of the Gods. The 100K route uses the Midland Trail and climbs to Mount Rosa, reaching elevations above 11,400 feet. Terrain includes steep climbs, technical descents, and some paved sections.

Aid stations, drop bag locations, and course cutoffs are published for each distance. For the 100K, crews may access Captain Jack and Old Stage with limited parking; pacers are permitted for the 100K beginning at Old Stage or Captain Jack II. Pacers are not allowed for the 50K or 35K. Drop bags are allowed at the finish for the shorter distances and at Rosemont and Captain Jack for the 100K.
