Reindeer Run 2 Miler
Campus Recreation presents the Reindeer Run 2 Mile Trail Race at Hydaway Outdoor Center in Lynchburg, Virginia on December 5, 2026. The race is a 2 mile trail event and is the third trail race in the Liberty Mountain Trail Series. The course is an out and back on forest roads and follows a holiday theme.
Participants are encouraged to dress in the spirit of the season. After the race there will be cookies, cocoa, and other treats. A donation partner for the event will be announced; donations to that organization may qualify participants for a registration discount.
Registration opens July 20, 2026 and closes December 4, 2026; the listed registration fee is $25. A student discount is applied at checkout. A featured giveaway t-shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed by November 26; a limited number of extra shirts will be available at packet pickup. Packet pickup is scheduled for the day before and the day of the race at Hydaway Outdoor Center.
Awards will be presented to the top three male and female overall finishers, the top three male and female finishers in each age group, and the top male and female masters overall (age 40 and over). Overall awards will be ranked by gun time and age group awards by chip time. Door prizes will be given during the event. A referral program offers a $20 refund after three referred registrations. LMTS finisher awards will be given to runners who complete all five LMTS 2026-2027 races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
