Redmond Reindeer Romp
The Redmond Reindeer Romp is the third event in the 2026-2027 Winter Trail Series. Hosted at the Redmond Watershed Preserve in Washington, the event features a course known for its well-managed trails, rolling hills, and dense fern forests. The terrain consists of relatively wide, smooth dirt paths that offer fewer technical obstacles than many other regional trail systems.
Participants can choose from two primary distances:
- 5 miles
- Half Marathon
The half marathon course consists of two laps of a 6.55-mile loop. Aid stations for half marathon runners are positioned at the turnaround point and at the start-finish area. These stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, gels, and salty or carbohydrate-rich snacks. While there is no on-course aid station for the 5-mile distance, hydration and food are available at the finish line.
The event includes a costume contest with a Winter Wonderland theme, where winners are selected in individual and group categories. Because the preserve remains open to the public, runners may share the trails with pedestrians, cyclists, and horseback riders. Due to local regulations and safety policies, pets and dogs are not permitted on the course or within the Redmond Watershed Preserve. Parking is located offsite at The Golf Club at Redmond Ridge, with a shuttle service provided to the start area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
