The trails are described as well groomed, mostly wide and smooth, with gently rolling hills, few steep sections, and forested areas with thick ferns. There is no on-course aid station for 5-mile runners, but food and hydration are available at the finish.

Carpools of three or more may park in the paved lot near the start while space is available; some street parking is also nearby. Pets are not allowed in Redmond Watershed Preserve. Horseback riders may be encountered and have the right of way; runners should step aside and speak calmly to riders. A Winter Wonderland themed costume contest is held with group and individual categories; winners must be present to receive awards.
