Redmond Reindeer Romp

Redmond Reindeer Romp takes place at Redmond Watershed Preserve in Redmond, WA on December 5, 2026. It is the third event in the 2026-27 Winter Trail Series and offers trail running at two distances.

  • 5-mile
  • Half Marathon

The preserve features well-groomed trails, gently rolling hills, and forests thick with fern. Trails are mostly relatively wide and smooth with low to moderate climb and few steep sections. The half marathon runs a 6.55 mile loop twice.

Aid support differs by distance. Half marathon runners encounter two aid stations: one at the remote turnaround about 3.5 miles into the loop and one adjacent to the start and finish. The aid station provides water, Skratch Labs electrolyte drink, gels, and one or two carbohydrate or salty food options. Five mile runners do not have an on-course aid station but have food and hydration available at the finish.

Parking and access use an offsite lot at The Golf Club at Redmond Ridge about two miles from the start with shuttle service to the event. Carpools of three or more may park in the paved lot near the start while space is available, and limited street parking exists along NE Marketplace Drive.

Other event details: pets are not allowed in the preserve; horseback riders may be present and have right of way; a Winter Wonderland costume contest runs with individual and group categories; runners under 20 are eligible for a $10 youth discount. Apparel is available for purchase at the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
