Course and race operations

The event is a 9-mile trail route that circumnavigates the lake named "Redman" within York County Parks. The route is mostly single track and has a cumulative climb of about 1,200 feet. Runners pass under Interstate-83 twice; both tunnel crossings often carry ankle-deep water, and the second tunnel is approximately 50 yards long and requires ducking for clearance. There is one aid station near the halfway point (about 4.5 miles) stocked with water, Tailwind, performance candy and other quick-energy items. Tokens will be awarded to all finishers and premium tokens to top finishers. The course is open to the public during the event, so runners are asked to be courteous to other trail users and littering is not tolerated. Cutoffs are 1.5 hours to the aid station (4.5 miles) and 3 hours to the finish. Post-race food will be available in the pavilion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
