The Red Wing Trail Challenge takes place on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Red Wing Recreation Area in Lagrangeville, NY. The event offers the following race distances:

  • 60K
  • 30k
  • 15K

Registration closes Saturday, July 4 at 11:59 PM ET. Organizers note a date by which entrants are guaranteed a race shirt.

Course and race services

The course is a 15k trail loop. The loop has about 1625 feet of gain; the 60K consists of four laps for roughly 6500 feet of total gain. Organizers list estimated gains of about 3300 feet for the 30k and about 1650 feet for the 15k. Surfaces include grass, gravel, single track, double track, dirt, and rocks; the trail is described as generally runnable.

Aid stations are provided on course and at the start-finish area, offering water, Skratch, UCAN, and basic snacks such as pretzels, bagels, and bananas. A designated area at the start-finish allows 60K runners to set up a base for fuel and hydration on each lap. A Garmin GPX file of the route is available. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each race, with unique finisher awards for all in the 60K and 15K. Post-race food and drinks will be available.
