Red Top Rumble is a trail running event held at Red Top Mountain State Park Visitor's Center in Cartersville, GA, located off I-75 exit 285, about 45 minutes north of Atlanta. The event includes the following distances:

  • 11.5 Miles
  • 1 Mile (Trail Trot for children)

Course and logistics

The course uses winding, moderate to easy wooded trails with several bridge crossings and views of Lake Allatoona. Start and finish are at the park Visitor's Center. A course cutoff is listed at the Homestead aid station (7.7 mile) with details to be determined.

Parking and porta-johns are available at the start/finish area. There is a $5 state park parking fee if the attendee does not have a park pass; carpooling is encouraged and fee envelopes are available at packet pickup. Packet pickup is offered on the days before the event and on race morning at the Visitor's Center.

The event is run as a 100 percent non-profit, with a portion of proceeds supporting Red Top Mountain State Park and related park programs. The event policy states no refunds, no transfers, and no deferrals. Awards are given to the top five male and female finishers and to overall Master and Grandmaster categories, with no duplication of awards.
