Red Top Rumble : February 1, 2026

Red Top Rumble is an 11.5 mile trail race held at Red Top Mountain State Park in Cartersville, GA. The start and finish are located at the park Visitor's Center. The event is organized by the Georgia Ultrarunning and Trailrunning Society (GUTS) and is a nonprofit race; a portion of proceeds supports Red Top Mountain State Park and the Friends of Red Top Mountain.

Course and cutoffs

The course uses winding, moderate-to-easy wooded trails with several bridge crossings and views of Lake Allatoona. The Homestead aid station at 7.7 miles is a course cutoff point with a 2 hour limit to reach that station.

Logistics and rules

Parking, bathrooms and porta-johns are available at the start/finish area. There is a $5 state park parking fee for those without an annual park pass; fee envelopes are available at packet pickup. Limited parking makes carpooling recommended. Packet pickup is available the day before the race and on race morning at the Visitor's Center. Registration rules include no refunds, no transfers and no deferrals; race day registration is not available. Awards go to the top five male and female finishers and to overall Master and Grandmaster categories with no duplication of awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
