Red Top Rumble

The Red Top Rumble is a trail running event held at Red Top Mountain State Park Visitor's Center in Cartersville, GA. The event is the 20th running and is staged as an 11.5 Miler on winding, moderate-to-easy wooded trails. The course includes several bridge crossings and offers views of Lake Allatoona. Start and finish are located at the park Visitor's Center.

Race administration notes include awards for the top five male and female finishers and overall awards for Master and Grandmaster categories with no duplication of awards. There is no race day registration and entry by January 1 is required to guarantee shirt size. Refunds and transfers are not allowed. A course cutoff is in place at the Homestead aid station (7.7 mile) with a 2 hour limit noted for that checkpoint. A course map is available.

Facilities at the start and finish include parking, bathrooms and porta-johns. Parking is limited so carpooling is encouraged. A $10 state park parking fee will be collected for day use (new rate in effect 1/1/26) or participants may use an annual Georgia State Park pass. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday (TBD), Saturday, Feb 6 at the Visitor's Center from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and Sunday morning at the Visitor's Center beginning at 7:15 am. If a participant needs to leave the race they must inform an official aid station volunteer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
