Red Top Rumble

Red Top Rumble is an 11.5 mile trail race held at Red Top Mountain State Park in Cartersville, GA on February 1, 2026. The start and finish are at the park Visitor's Center, located off I-75 exit 285; once in the park the route to the Visitor's Center follows Park Marina Rd and Lodge Rd.

The course follows winding, moderate to easy wooded trails with several bridge crossings and views of Lake Allatoona. A course cutoff is in place at the Homestead aid station (7.7 mile) with a two-hour limit for that segment. A course map is available through the race organizers.

Facilities at the start/finish area include parking and restroom facilities, including porta johns. Parking availability is limited and a State Park parking fee is charged; carpooling is encouraged. Packet pickup is offered on the days before the race and on race morning at the Visitor's Center.

The event is organized by the Georgia Ultrarunning and Trailrunning Society (GUTS). Registration rules include no refunds, no transfers, and no deferrals. GUTS members receive a race discount. Awards are given to the top five male and top five female finishers and to the overall Master and Grandmaster, with no duplication of awards. The race is run as a non-profit and a portion of proceeds supports Red Top Mountain and the Friends of Red Top Mountain for park programs and renovations.
