Red Rocks of Sedona is a one-day series of trail races in Sedona, AZ, held on October 17, 2026. Courses travel Sedona's Southside terrain and feature the Hi Line Trail in every distance, with exposed ridgelines and views of Cathedral Rock. Routes include high desert slickrock, winding singletrack, and significant elevation changes. All marked courses have GPX files available for digital navigation.
Distances offered:
- Marathon: 26.2 miles across Southside trails, including the Hi Line Trail.
- 20 Miler: point to point Southside course featuring the Hi Line Trail.
- 10 Miler: shorter Southside course with technical singletrack and red rock views.
- 2.5 Miler: starts and finishes at Verde Valley School, no shuttle required.
Aid stations are fully stocked with water, electrolytes, and energy snacks at regular intervals. All registered runners receive a technical race shirt and a commemorative finish medal. The longer courses begin at the United Methodist Church and finish at Verde Valley School.
Event weekend includes a community run and pre-race activities in the days prior, plus bib pickup the day before the race. Shuttle service is provided between finish and start locations; no runner parking is permitted at the start and a shuttle pass is available for a fee.
Organizers operate under permit from the Coconino National Forest and partner with local stewardship groups to promote trail protection and the Sedona Cares Pledge.
