Red Rocks of Sedona - October 17, 2026

Red Rocks of Sedona Trail Races is a one day trail running event in Sedona, Arizona, offering multiple distances across the Southside red rock landscape. Distances offered include:

  • Mountain Marathon: 26.2 miles
  • 20 Miler
  • 10 Miler
  • 2.5 Miler

The Mountain Marathon, 20 Miler and 10 Miler start at the United Methodist Church and finish at Verde Valley School. All three courses include the Hi Line Trail and feature exposed ridgelines and views toward Cathedral Rock. The 2.5 Miler starts and finishes at Verde Valley School and does not require a shuttle. Routes are fully marked and GPX files are provided.

Aid stations are placed along the courses and supply water, electrolytes, and energy snacks. Registered entrants receive a technical race shirt and a commemorative medal. A Vendor Village on the Verde Valley School soccer field operates during the event with product samples and recovery services.

Associated weekend activities include a community run on October 15 and bib pickup plus a pre race shakeout and breathwork session on October 16. Shuttle service is provided to the start for most distances and runner parking is not allowed at the start, so a shuttle pass or drop off is required.

Organizers note partnerships with local conservation and trail organizations and encourage stewardship of the landscape. Information on lodging options and campground sites is provided for visitors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
