Red Rock Sunset Rumble
The Red Rock Sunset Rumble is a trail event held at Red Rock Canyon Park in Topanga, California. It features a timed 10k trail run and a non-timed Hiker's Delight route. The 10k runs mostly on fireroads with a half-mile of singletrack through oak forest, chaparral, red sandstone cliffs and a seasonal creek, offering views toward the Backbone Trail, Saddle Peak, Santa Monica and the Pacific Ocean.
The 10k course has roughly 1,360 ft of vertical gain and loss, includes two major climbs and a downhill finish, and has aid stations serving Skratch Hydration and water at miles 1.8 and 3.6. The Hiker's Delight is about 4.5 miles with roughly 1,075 ft of vertical gain and loss and an aid station at mile 2.27; it is offered as a non-timed early-start option with full access to aid stations and event amenities.
Event amenities listed for participants include a 21 plus beer garden, plant-based tacos, sports massage, free course photography, same-day results, podium and age-group awards, a Local Legend award for Topanga locals, and a $500 10k course record bonus. There is no onsite parking; free off-site parking and mandatory shuttles operate from Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Topanga School Road, with an approximate 0.6 mile walk from shuttle drop-off to the race site.
