Los Angeles Sunset Trail Relay and 5K

The event is an evening trail running meeting in Los Angeles at 4800 Crystal Springs Dr, in Griffith Park. It offers team relays and solo races on a scenic, well marked course that passes panoramic views of Griffith Park, the LA River, and Glendale.

Distances include:

  • 10 mile relay, teams of 4, four loops of a 2.5 mile loop
  • 10 mile relay, teams of 2, each teammate runs two 2.5 mile loops
  • 5K solo trail race
  • 1 mile Kid Run
  • 2.5 mile Free Agent leg, placed into a team of 4 for the 10 mile relay

Relay formats use repeating loops so teams alternate on the same course. The event provides chip timing and course aid stations staffed with medical personnel. Race participants receive a finisher medal and a premium gender-specific short sleeve T-shirt for registrants who meet the printing deadline. Relays have prizes for top teams, captain and anchor badges for last leg runners, and a trophy for the team with the most spirited name. The 5K includes awards for overall and age grade division winners.

Additional event features listed include live music, race photography available for download, custom bibs, food truck service, finish line fruit and refreshments, full body wipes, volunteer support, and deferral and transfer options. Access to a Fleet Feet Burbank sale is offered for event participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
