The Recover From the Holidays 50K is scheduled for December 31, 2025 in Huntsville, Alabama (2151 Airport Rd SW). The event is a 50K trail run organized as part of the local running club calendar. Registration closes December 27, 2025. There is a strict nine-hour cut-off for finishers. A short packet pickup is planned for December 30; time and place are to be determined. Packets may also be collected at the race site prior to the event.

Course, aid and awards

The course begins with a 1-mile out-and-back followed by 10 repeats of a 3.0-mile loop on rolling cross-country grass trails. Each loop includes two significant hill climbs. Aid provided on course is limited and will include water, soda, chips, and cookies. Runners have access to their own personal aid station at the start of each loop, approximately every 3 miles. Participants who complete the ten loops within the official cut-off receive a Santa-sanctioned hoodie. The overall male and female finishers each receive a prize selected by Santa.
