All distances use the same 4.1 km loop through a forested ravine north of the University District. The course is mostly gently sloping with low to moderate climb, about 230 feet per loop. The trail is generally well groomed but includes a few steeper pitches as it moves up and down the ravine.

An aid station is located at the start and finish. 8k participants pass the aid station once and 12k participants pass it twice. The aid station provides water, an electrolyte sport drink, and a selection of carbohydrate rich or salty foods such as cookies, energy bar pieces, gels, chews, chips, bagels, fruity candy, fig bars, and bananas.

Parking at Ravenna Park is limited to fewer than 30 spaces; nearby street parking is available north of the park with no restrictions and south of the park with a two hour limit between 7am and 8pm. Online pre-registration closes the night before the event and day of registration accepts cash, card, or check. Post-race food includes hot dogs, veggie dogs, watermelon, and other snacks. Awards are given to the top three Open and Female finishers in each distance.

Safety notes: trails remain open to other users, participants are responsible for their own safety, and dogs are not allowed on course under USATF policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
