The Raven Rock Trail Run and Hike takes place on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Raven Rock State Park in Lillington, NC. The event is based at 3009 Raven Rock Rd, Lillington, NC 27546. The race includes the following events:
- 5 Mile Run
- 5 Mile Hike
- 25K Run
Entry fees listed for the events are $45 for the 5 Mile Run, $35 for the 5 Mile Hike, and $65 for the 25K Run. Registration for the events closes on January 1, 2026. Parking is limited at the site.
Course, services, and awards
The 5 Mile course has about 500 ft of elevation gain and is an out-and-back route beside a creek that reaches a view above the river. The course has many curves and some technical or rocky sections. The 25K course follows the first 5 miles of the 5 Mile course, then continues with a 10-mile loop featuring single and double track, additional elevation change, and rocky sections. There is aid around the 10th mile on the 25K.
All finishers receive a medal. Top three male and female finishers in each race receive custom trophies. First place male and female in each age group receive custom awards. Shirts are locally printed and must be ordered by December 18. Photos and warm food and snacks are provided at the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
