Agape 100k + 50k

The Agape 100K and 50K trail event at Camp Agapé in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina has been cancelled. The event was planned as a weekend of camping and looped trail running on a private camp property that is not open to the public.

Distances:

  • 50K: 5 loops, 6,000 ft elevation gain
  • 100K: 10 loops, 12,000 ft elevation gain

The course used roughly 6 mile loops on a mix of singletrack and gravel with technical sections and notable hills. Two aid stations were planned to operate continuously, one at the Start/Finish and one at Ironwood Summit about 3 miles into the loop. Organizers indicated a 24 hour overall cutoff for each race. Only 100K runners were permitted a registered pacer for the final 50K, and pacers had to register and check in before registration closed.

Camping for runners was included with registration and parking and camping space was limited. Fires, alcohol, and illegal substances were prohibited and participants were asked to keep noise low overnight and to clean up after themselves. Tech shirts and stickers were included with registration. All finishers were to receive a medal and awards were planned for the top three male and female finishers in each distance.
