Raptor Run 5K, Greenville, OH
The Raptor Run 5K takes place on the park trails of Shawnee Prairie Preserve and uses the area around the Nature Center. The route goes through native prairies, under woodland canopies, and around wetland areas. Participants pass park features such as the Sugar Shack, Log House, and Blacksmith Shop before returning near the Nature Center.
The event fields a single 5-kilometer distance with male and female divisions in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, and 56 and older. Medals are awarded to the top male and female in each division.
Event services listed include electronic chip timing, post-race refreshments, door prizes, and a race shirt for participants who register prior to October 14. Awards and post-race refreshments are scheduled to occur after the race. Proceeds support the Darke County Parks Raptor Ambassador program.
Pricing is structured by registration period: Early Bird through June 26 is $25 ($15 for those 14 and under); pre-registration June 27 to October 24 is $30 ($20 for 14 and under); late registration October 25 to November 14 is $35 ($30 for 14 and under).
