Raptor Run 5K at Shawnee Prairie Preserve

The Raptor Run 5K takes place on November 14, 2026, at Shawnee Prairie Preserve Nature Center in Greenville, Ohio. The course follows park trails through prairie areas, under woodland canopies, and around wetland habitat, returning to the finish near the Nature Center.

Participants pass by park landmarks such as the Sugar Shack, Log House, and Blacksmith Shop. The event uses electronic chip timing and offers post-race refreshments and door prizes. A race shirt is available for participants who register prior to October 14, 2026. All proceeds support Darke County Parks' Raptor Ambassador program. The event is hosted by Darke County Park District.

The event is a single 5K distance with age divisions for male and female runners: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, and 56 and over. Medals will be awarded to the top male and top female in each division. Registration opens January 14, 2026. Published pricing includes an early period through June 26, 2026, a pre-registration period through October 24, 2026, and a later registration period through November 14, 2026, with reduced rates for participants 14 and under.
