Course Details

The route goes through various landscapes in the park, including prairies, woodlands, and wetlands. Participants pass landmarks such as the Sugar Shack, Log House, and Blacksmith Shop. The finish line is near the park's Nature Center.

Race Features

The event includes electronic chip timing. Awards are given for the top male and female finishers in several age divisions (10 & under, 11-14, 15-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56+). A race shirt is offered for registrations received before October 14. Post-race refreshments and door prizes are available.

Beneficiary

All proceeds support the Darke County Parks' Raptor Ambassador program.

Trail runs nearby

The 4th annual aMAZing 5k Trail Run winds through the Garber Nature Center in Ohio. Awards are presented to top finishers in 10 year age groups, and walkers are welcome. All proceeds support the Friends of the Preble County Park District.

Run the Stillwater Prairie trails with the Ohio River Road Runners Club. This 7-mile course features dirt paths, meadows, and river crossings. The event is chip-timed and free for ORRRC members.
