Ragnar Trail Individual Texas

Ragnar Trail Individual Texas takes place at Flat Rock Ranch in Comfort, Texas, roughly one hour outside of San Antonio. The event is held on a working cattle ranch in the Texas Hill Country, featuring a landscape of prickly pear cacti, rolling hills, and established mountain bike trails. Participants run on well-maintained singletrack paths that include switchbacks and views of the surrounding countryside.

The event offers three distinct registration options for individual runners:

  • Single Loop: A 4.9-mile run on the Yellow Loop featuring 617 feet of elevation gain.
  • 6H Ultra: A timed race where individuals run as many loops as possible within a 6-hour period.
  • 24H Ultra: A timed endurance race where individuals run as many loops as possible over 24 hours.

The course includes a notable climb at the 2.5-mile mark on the Yellow Loop, followed by a shaded area and a water station. The terrain consists of smooth trails designed for mountain biking, which facilitates a fast pace. The event site, known as Ragnar Village, provides amenities such as campfires, s'mores, music, and yoga. Food trucks are available on-site, and the venue provides a limited number of showers. Participants can camp at the ranch, and the weather typically ranges from daytime highs in the 70s or 80s°F to evening lows in the 50s°F.
