Bandera Endurance Trail Race

Bandera, United States • 10-11 Jan 2026

Event overview

The HOKA Bandera Endurance Trail Race is held at Hill Country State Natural Area in Bandera, Texas on January 10-11, 2026. The event offers these distances:

  • 100k (two full laps of the main loop)
  • 50k (one full lap)
  • 25k (shortened lap with a cutover)
  • Youth 1 mile (ages 12 and under, untimed)

The 100k is a standalone race and serves as a Western States qualifier for runners who finish the 100k within 17 hours and enter that lottery. The race uses mass starts per distance and chip timing for official results.

Course, support, and rules

The main loop is a 50k lap run counterclockwise. Expect roughly 3,300 feet of elevation gain and loss per 50k lap (about 6,600 feet for the 100k). The terrain is rocky with sotol and mostly technical trails; there is one consistently flat section near YaYa aid station. The course is extensively marked with orange caution tape, yellow arrows, and reflector markers for night hours.

Full aid station support is provided; Lodge, Equestrian, and Chapas offer hot and cold foods and drinks, while Boyles, Nachos, and Yaya provide regular food and drinks. Drop bags may be placed at aid stations; organized delivery is available to specific aid stations for 100k runners only. Pacers are allowed for 100k runners after one 50k loop, with rules on registration and stationing. Awards include overall top finishers and age-group prizes.
