Course and logistics

The course is about half park road and half improved trail; regular running shoes are acceptable. Runners should park in the main parking lot and sign in at the pavilion. The 10K is two loops of the 5K, the 15K is three loops, and the 20K is four loops. Water stops are located at the Old Road Trail (self-serve) and at the pavilion. A signed waiver is required to climb the tower; runners who climb the tower receive their finisher medal at the top, but climbing is not required to receive an official finish time. The course is not completely closed to traffic; runners should follow flagging, signs, and volunteers for direction. Awards are given to the first three males and first three females in each division. Sponsors include RunBlountCounty, Palisades Park, the Oneonta-Blount Chamber of Commerce, and Oneonta Fire and Rescue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
