Course and logistics

The course is roughly half park road and half improved trail and is made up of repeated loops: the 10K is two loops of the 5K, the 15K is three loops, and the 20K is four loops. There are at least two water stops, including a self-serve stop on Old Road Trail and a second water stop at the pavilion. Participants should watch for flagging, signs, volunteers and cars because the course is not completely closed. Regular running shoes are acceptable. There is a 3 hour cutoff.

Packet pickup is on race day beginning at 6:15 am and ending promptly at 7:15; there is no race day registration. Park in the big parking lot and sign in at the pavilion. A signed waiver is required to climb the park tower; the waiver is valid for the day and climbing is not required to receive an official finish time. Awards are given to the first three males and females in each division as they cross the finish line. Sponsors include RunBlountCounty, Palisades Park, Oneonta-Blount Chamber of Commerce and Oneonta Fire and Rescue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
