Event Information

The Race to The Tower Trail Run takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Oneonta, Alabama, at Palisades Park. The event offers distances of 5K, 10K, 15K, and 20K. The course is described as half park road and half improved trail, and regular running shoes are acceptable. There is a 3-hour cutoff time for the event.

Logistics

Packet pickup begins at 6:15 AM on race day and ends at 7:15 AM. There is no race day registration. Parking is in a large lot, and runners walk to a pavilion to sign in. The race starts promptly at 7:30 AM.

A key feature of the event is the option to climb a tower. Runners who complete the 5K, 10K, 15K, or 20K and climb the tower will receive a finisher's medal at the top. Signing a waiver is required to climb the tower, but climbing is not mandatory to receive an official finish time. The waiver is valid for the entire day.

Other Details
