Race the Reserve Whidbey Island

Race the Reserve takes place in Coupeville, Washington, on Whidbey Island and uses routes through Ebey's Landing National Historic Preserve. The course passes Ebey's Prairie and Crockett Prairie and includes sections of seaside bluffs, dense forest, dirt and paved trails, and prairie farmland. Views along the route include Puget Sound waterways such as Admiralty Inlet and the Straits of Juan de Fuca, and distant mountain ranges including Mount Baker, the North Cascades, the Olympic Mountains and Peninsula, Mount Rainier, and the San Juan Islands. The course may also provide views of ferries between Coupeville and Port Townsend.

Packet pickup details are provided in Coupeville. For in-person events, packets are available at Coupeville Elementary School gymnasium on August 8, 4 to 6 pm, or on race day beginning at 6:30 am. Virtual participants may pick up packets at the Coupeville High School gymnasium on August 8, 4 to 6 pm; packets not picked up will be mailed to participants. Entry fees vary by distance.

Muddy Paws Fun Run offers 2.1 mile, 5K and 10K trail options at the Port of Skagit Nature Trails while raising funds for local K9 units. The event uses staggered start groups and does not record official race times.

FORGE is a 12-hour backyard ultra in Washington. Runners complete a 4.167-mile loop every hour on the hour, with a total of 50 miles possible. The format tests endurance and pacing on a flat, unshaded course.
