Race for Life Reading 10k at Prospect Park

Race for Life Reading is an organised running event by Cancer Research UK held on Sunday 07 June 2026 at Prospect Park, Liebenrood Road, Reading. The event lists age eligibility from 16 and over and includes a minimum fundraising target of £50. Ticket prices shown are £17.49 for adults and £11.00 for children.

The course starts and finishes on grass. The route is predominantly on grass, includes woodland sections and several steep slopes. The 10k is run as a double lap of the 5k course. Events are chip timed.

Facilities and travel information note limited on-site parking and nearby pay and display parking at Meadway Shopping Centre. Blue Badge parking is available next to the Ranger Station car park. The nearest train station is Reading West, about a 15 minute walk. Cycle routes run through and near the park and cycle racks are provided. Refreshments and toilets are available on site. Dogs are not allowed.

Accessibility and support: the route is not suitable for wheelchair or pushchair users due to steep inclines and varied terrain with over 80% grass. Sunflower wristbands are available and BSL stage content is accessible via a QR code. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a finisher medal. A timed Friday event on a flat 5.3 km out-and-back course along the river Thames, with lap-based distances from 5 km to ultra and a £10 Run for a Tenner entry benefiting Rays of Sunshine.

A 50 km multi terrain ultramarathon around Maidenhead, run on a single lap route that follows the Thames Path and Jubilee River. The course is mostly off road with four aid stations, chip timing, live tracking and free race photos.

An 86 miles (139 km) point to point trail race along the full length of The Ridgeway National Trail from Ivinghoe Beacon to Avebury Stones. The event features open tracking, permanent signage and aid stations spaced along the route.

A 60 km point to point ultramarathon along the Ridgeway National Trail from Ivinghoe Beacon to near Wallingford, featuring open tracking, four aid stations and a 10 hour time allowance. Entries close 17 May 2026.
