Race for Life Reading 10k : Prospect Park, Reading

Race for Life Reading 10k is an organized running event at Prospect Park in Reading. The event offers two distances:

  • 10k - double lap of the 5k course
  • 5k

The start and finish are located on grass inside the centre of the park, near the tennis courts, cafe and ranger station building. The route is predominantly on grass, includes woodland sections and some steep slopes, and has a maximum ascent of 71 m. In wet weather grass and woodland areas may become soft or muddy, and parts of the site are uneven underfoot.

Participants are timed using chip timing. Limited event parking is available on site; alternative pay and display parking is located at Meadway Shopping Centre. Blue Badge parking, drop off access and cycle racks are provided near the park entrances. The nearest train station is Reading West, about a 15 minute walk to the park. Several local bus routes serve the area.

A 21.1 km off road trail race on 5 July 2026 along The Ridgeway between Wendover and Princes Risborough, with fully marked navigation, two aid station visits and a 4 hour limit.

The Phoenix Running - Slough will take place in Slough on Thursday 9 July 2026. You can run 5 miles.

A 7 hour timed event on a signed loop along the River Thames in Egham, with flexible self-directed distances from 3 km up to ultra and 50 km options. Finishers receive medals, goody bags and distance pins for longer distances.

Phoenix Fridays offers a flexible Friday run with a "rock up and go" start. Choose your distance on a flat, timed 5.3km loop along the Thames towpath. All finishers can pick from a selection of signature medals.
