Race for Life Pretty Muddy Windsor

Windsor, United Kingdom • 30 May 2026

Windsor Pretty Muddy 5k

The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course organised by Cancer Research UK at Royal Windsor Racecourse, Off Maidenhead Road, Windsor SL4 5JJ. The course runs on both tarmac and grass between the racetrack and the River Thames. Grass sections cannot be avoided and some parts of the course are quite narrow. The start and finish are on grass opposite the main racecourse buildings, and stewards will direct participants from the main carpark.

The course includes obstacles that require climbing, crawling and sliding. Waves start every 15 minutes to manage flow on the course. Marshals are present to assist participants who need to skip an obstacle. To take part in the Pretty Muddy event a person must be 13 years of age or older. There is a separate Pretty Muddy Kids offering for younger children.

Facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets and parking. There is free general event parking, a drop off area outside the main racecourse building and blue badge parking closer to the event site. Bike racks are available outside the main racecourse building. The nearest bus stop is on Hanover Way served by the W1 route and nearby train stations are Windsor and Eton Riverside or Windsor and Eton Central, with the venue around a 35 minute walk from those stations.

The event is not suitable for wheelchair users and pushchairs are not suitable. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans and a Race for Life medal on finishing. A minimum fundraising target of £50.00 applies and listed entry prices are £22.49 for adults and £12.00 for children. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
