Race for Life Pretty Muddy Windsor

Windsor, United Kingdom • 30 May 2026

Windsor Pretty Muddy 5k

The event is a 5k obstacle course at Royal Windsor Racecourse where participants climb, crawl and slide over a mix of grass and tarmac. The start and finish are on grass and the route runs between the racetrack and the River Thames; some grass sections cannot be avoided and parts of the course can be quite narrow. Wave starts are staggered every 15 minutes and marshals and stewards are present to direct participants and assist at obstacles. Participants must be aged 13 or older; separate Pretty Muddy Kids events are available for younger children.

Practical arrangements are provided at the racecourse site. The venue address is Royal Windsor Racecourse, Off Maidenhead Road, Windsor SL4 5JJ and the precise start area is identified on site. Free general parking and a drop off area are available, with blue badge parking closer to the event entrance. Public access details note a nearby bus stop on Hanover Way served by route W1 and that the nearest train stations are Windsor and Eton Riverside and Windsor and Eton Central, about a 35 minute walk from the venue. On-site facilities include refreshments, toilets and bike racks; dogs are not allowed, and the course is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Organisers provide a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal on completion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
