Ipswich Pretty Muddy 5k

Ipswich Pretty Muddy 5k is scheduled for Sunday 21 June 2026 at Trinity Park, Felixstowe Road, Ipswich, IP3 8UH. The event is organised by Cancer Research UK and is presented as a 5k obstacle course combining running with wet and muddy obstacles.

The course runs within a showground that is described as fairly flat. The terrain is mainly grass with some paths. The start and finish are on the same section of grass within the showground, a short walk from the on-site car park. Start times are staggered in waves every 15 minutes to manage safety on the course.

Participants must be 13 years or older. The event includes obstacles that require climbing, crawling and sliding; marshals are on hand and participants may skip obstacles if needed. A separate Pretty Muddy Kids programme exists for younger children aged 12 and under.

Facilities listed as available include refreshments, toilets and parking. The event is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for pushchairs. There are no bike racks or electric vehicle charging points. Blue badge parking is managed by stewards but the on-site car park is on grass and may become soft in bad weather. The site is not easily accessible on foot and buses from Ipswich centre take around 30 to 40 minutes to reach the venue.

Entry prices shown are £22.49 for adults and £12.00 for children, with a minimum fundraising target of £50. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal on completion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
