The Quad Rock 25 & 50 Mile Trail Races take place May 9, 2026, on trails west of Fort Collins in Lory State Park and Horsetooth Mountain Park, Colorado. The course is a 25-mile loop with a second loop run in reverse for the 50-mile distance. Key facts:

Course, aid and rules

The first 25-mile loop runs clockwise from Soldier Canyon; 50-mile runners complete a second loop in the opposite direction. The course is marked with pink flagging, pin flags, flour at key intersections and confidence flagging on longer stretches.

Aid station provision includes multiple staffed, full-service stations and two limited stations (Timber - unmanned water only; Arthur's East - limited aid). Full stations carry sports drink, gels/bars, water and ice, salty snacks, fruit, sweets, hot drinks, sandwiches and some hot foods; GF/vegan alternatives are available for most offerings. Drop bags are allowed at Horsetooth Trailhead and Soldier Canyon. Permanent restrooms are at Soldier Canyon, Arthur's and Horsetooth trailheads; additional portable toilets will be at the start/finish.
