The competition area covers the Purbeck Hills and the Jurassic Coast, including heathland and coastal dune terrain. The event is self-supported; competitors must carry mandatory safety equipment which is likely to include waterproof clothing, compass, whistle, head torch, phone and cash. Entries are limited to 100 competitors.
