The Pumpkin Run is organized by Senior Coastsiders and takes place at Hatch Elementary School in Half Moon Bay on October 18, 2026. The event includes in-person and virtual options and supports a local non-profit that provides services for older adults on the Coastside.

The half marathon course follows the Coastal Trail, with portions running alongside the Pacific Ocean. The start and finish area is located at the Hatch Elementary School parking lot. Virtual participants may complete events anytime during the permitted period and upload times via the ASICS Runkeeper app, other run tracker apps, or manual entry to receive a printable finisher certificate. Virtual packet mailing and shirt distribution are subject to registration cutoffs; registrations after the stated cutoff may not receive shirts before the event.
Proceeds benefit Senior Coastsiders, whose programs include daily lunch, classes and lectures, Meals on Wheels, and home rehab services. The event is not dog friendly for insurance reasons.
Parking notes: there is no parking in the Hatch Elementary lot and certain sections of Miramontes Avenue are on the race route. Paid parking options are listed by the organizers, and nearby volunteer or PTO lots may offer event parking for a fee.
