Pulborough Vineyards Run
Pulborough Vineyards Run is an off-road, multi-lap event held at Nutbourne Vineyards, Gay Street, Pulborough, West Sussex (RH20 2HH; what3words: gets.essays.future). The route runs across vineyard land with views to the South Downs and includes undulating terrain with two hills per lap, firm grass, mud and stony walking tracks. Each lap includes three public footpath stiles and one short section that may have puddles.
Entry is limited to 100 places and the standard entry fee is £29, of which £8 is donated to charity. To manage entries the event uses a single 10 km booking; runners choose their distance on the day and may complete between two and eight laps to make distances from 5 km up to a half marathon. There is a 2.5 hour overall time limit for the event.
Facilities and services include:
- Bib numbers handed out on the day from the wine lodge
- Free indoor toilets located to the left of the wine distillery
- A key bag drop at the finish area
- 1-2 first aiders positioned around the course and water stations every 2.5 km lap
Participants receive a medal, a 500 ml bottle of water, a glass of wine, a hot drink and cake, plus free photos and Strava splits. Spectators may use the wine lodge and purchase refreshments. Dogs on leads are allowed for spectators but not on the course. The event runs in any weather and bookings close two days before the race.
