Prairie Dog Trail Run - Verona, WI

The Prairie Dog Trail Run is the inaugural trail race held on September 5, 2026, at 6679 Wesner Road, Verona, Wisconsin. The event offers two distance options over sustainable trails that pass through restored prairies, woodlands, young and mature oak savannas, pine woods, and Wisconsin's terminal moraine. Trails feature mixed surfaces.

There is capacity for about 300 participants. Registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes September 5, 2026. The entry fee is $45.00 for each distance.

100% of the net proceeds from entry fees will be donated to the Prairie Moraine Friends and used to restore and manage the park. Parking at the site is limited and organizers request ride sharing to reduce demand for spaces.
