Prairie Dog Trail Run

The Prairie Dog Trail Run is the inaugural trail race held in Verona, Wisconsin at 6679 Wesner Road. The event offers two distance choices on sustainable trails through a variety of landscapes in the park.

10K trail race

The course runs through restored prairies, woodlands, young and mature oak savannas, pine woods, and across Wisconsin's terminal moraine. Trails are comprised of mixed surfaces designed for sustainability.

There is a capacity of about 300 participants. The registration fee is $45 for each distance. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from entry fees will be donated to the Prairie Moraine Friends and used to restore and manage the park.
