The 5 km starts at Piglove and follows the Trans Pennine Trail for 2.5 km, turning before Thwaite Mills on a flat, good quality footpath. The daytime 10 km continues past Thwaite Mills onto slightly more rugged riverside trail with one small bridge that has steps. The night 10 km route is two laps of the 5 km course. Both turnaround points are marked and marshalled.
Terrain and elevation figures are provided as public footpaths, riverside trails and tarmac paths with total elevation around 193 m (633 ft). Minimum age for entry is 18.
Facilities at Race HQ include toilets and bag storage. All finishers receive a drink courtesy of Piglove Brewery. Medals and t shirts are optional extras offered at entry to reduce environmental impact. Headtorches are required for the Autumn By Night event. Parking is available at CitiPark Leeds Dock, Armouries Drive LS10 1LE; the venue is close to Granary Wharf, Royal Armouries and Leeds Station.
