Piglove By The River 10km & 5km

The summer event has been moved from Wednesday 29 July and will take place on Tuesday 28 July 2026. The race is based at Piglove By The River, Clarence Rd, Leeds LS10 1EE, situated in Citi’s Climate Innovation District near Granary Wharf, the Royal Armouries and Leeds Station.

The course follows riverside trails and public footpaths, including the Trans Pennine Trail. The listed elevation is 193 m (633 ft). The 5km route follows the Trans Pennine Trail for 2.5 km and turns before Thwaite Mills. The day 10km continues past Thwaite Mills and becomes slightly more rugged, with one small bridge that has steps. The night 10km option is a double of the 5km route, turning at 2.5 km. Turnaround points will be clearly marked and marshalled.

Entry is limited to 150 participants and the minimum age is 18. Facilities at Race HQ include toilets and bag storage. All finishers receive a drink courtesy of Piglove Brewery. Medals and t-shirts are offered as optional extras to reduce environmental impact. Headtorches are mandatory for the autumn By Night event. Parking is available at CitiPark Leeds Dock, Armouries Drive LS10 1LE; local arrival by foot, bicycle or public transport is encouraged. Trail runs nearby

Trail races from Slaithwaite follow the Huddersfield canal out to Tunnel End, with four distance options, on course feed stations and marshals. Parking is limited and registration is at Slaithwaite Community Centre.
