Piglove By The River is an evening running event based at Piglove By The River, Clarence Rd, Leeds LS10 1EE, in Citu’s Climate Innovation District. The event uses riverside trails, public footpaths and tarmac paths close to Granary Wharf and the Royal Armouries.

Distances offered:

The 5 km route follows the Trans Pennine Trail for 2.5 km and turns around just before Thwaite Mills; it is flat with good quality footpath conditions. The 10 km daytime route continues past Thwaite Mills and becomes slightly more rugged while remaining largely flat; it includes one small bridge with steps. The night 10 km route is two laps of the 5 km path, turning at the same 2.5 km point. Both turnaround points are clearly marked and marshalled.

Additional event details include an overall elevation of 193 m and an entry limit of 150 participants. Minimum age is 18. Facilities at Race HQ include toilets and bag storage. All finishers receive a drink courtesy of Piglove Brewery; medals and t-shirts are optional extras sold at entry to reduce environmental impact and cost. Headtorches are required for the Autumn By Night edition. Parking is available at CitiPark Leeds Dock and the venue is near Leeds Station.
