Pierrepont Plod – Spring 2027
This is a trail event held around Holme Pierrepont Country Park and Watersports Centre. The format is a six hour challenge on a looped course. Participants may attempt to complete as many laps as possible in the six hours or choose to finish after a single lap. The route includes a stretch along the rowing lake and features mud, roots and puddles. The course is described as largely flat with the occasional small lump to climb.
Holme Pierrepont is prone to flooding during the wetter months, so organisers have prepared two alternative loop layouts. There are two roughly 5.45 km loops with different starting points: a south route beginning from a car park to the south and a north route starting near the cafe on the north side of the regatta rowing lake. The south route will be prioritised but the final route will be confirmed in the weeks before the event. The two loops have about 22 m and 27 m of elevation respectively.
