Hampshire - Nutcracker Run Day 1

Phoenix Running Hampshire stages a timed trail event in the Forest of Bere at West Walk Car Park, Wickham, Hampshire PO17 6JD. The course is a 3.28 mile out and back on hard-packed, well established trail with about 80 metres of elevation gain per lap.

Participants may complete a single lap or repeat laps within the event's full seven hour time limit. The minimum distance is one lap (3.28 miles). The event offers a range of distances and formats, listed below.

The event uses a flexible "rock up and run" start system that permits staggered starts on the day. An aid station is provided and supplies sweet and savoury items, including a signature potato offering and vegan options. Entry fees are listed as £37.95 for affiliated runners and £39.95 for unaffiliated runners. Parking charges apply: £2 for up to 2 hours, £4 up to 4 hours, and £6 for all day.

The event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UK Athletics rules. Distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under; full event terms and conditions apply. Twenty percent of proceeds are allocated to Forestry England for woodland care. All participants, including virtual entrants, receive a giveaway medal or memento. A 5k obstacle event at Southsea Common on 09 May 2026 where participants climb, crawl and slide around a flat route while raising funds for cancer research; facilities include toilets and refreshments and accessibility support is provided.

A camp-based Backyard Ultra at Chilton Manor Farm featuring a repeated loop through private trails, fields and woodland with a high point at Bugmore Hill Trig Point and on-site aid, toilets and course photography.

A one lap *10 km* trail through Hampton Estate and Puttenham Common with undulating hills and bluebell woods. Chip timing, finish medals and on-site parking, with food and refreshments available at the finish.
