The PFW Running - World Diabetes Day Run takes place on Friday 14 November 2025 in Stanley Park, Blackpool, Lancashire, FY3 9EQ. The event is held under UKA rules and Trail Running Association race permit number is TBA. Maximum entrants are 100 and entries close on 13/11/2025. Minimum age to enter is 18 years. Age restrictions: 18-19 years have a maximum distance of marathon; over 20 years have no maximum distance. Refunds are not permitted. Entry transfers or deferrals are allowed up to one week before the event. All profits will be donated to Breakthrough T1D.

World Diabetes Day is a global awareness campaign focused on diabetes.

Course and participation

The course is a 3.1 mile loop on mostly flat tarmac paths with a short section on gravel. Runners may complete as many or as few laps as they wish within a six hour time limit. Distance options include:

  • 3.1 mile loop
  • Half marathon - 4 laps + short out and back
  • Marathon - 8 laps + short out and back
  • Ultra - 9 or more laps

Completing at least one lap awards an official time and a post-race gift. Drinks and sweet and savoury snacks will be provided. All finishers receive a bespoke medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
