PFW Running - World Diabetes Day Run

PFW Running stages a timed running event on Friday 14 November 2025 at Stanley Park, Blackpool, Lancashire, FY3 9EQ. All profits will be donated to Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF), a charity set up to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes. The event is held under UKA rules and has a Trail Running Association race permit number to be announced. Maximum entries are 100 and entries close on 13 November 2025. Refunds are not permitted; entry transfers or deferrals are allowed up to one week before the event.

Course, distances and rules

The course is a 3.1 mile loop on mostly flat tarmac with a short section on gravel. The event is a 6 hour timed format; participants may complete as many or as few laps as they wish within that time limit. Distances described include:

  • 3.1 mile loop - single lap counts as a finish
  • Half marathon - 4 laps plus a short out-and-back
  • Marathon - 8 laps plus a short out-and-back
  • Ultra - 9 or more laps

All finishers who complete at least one lap will receive an official time, a post-race gift and a bespoke medal. Age restrictions: 18-19 maximum distance marathon; over 20 no maximum distance. Allithwaite 8 on 1 November 2025 is an 8 mile 13 km trail and fell race on the edge of the Lake District and Cartmel peninsula, promising scenic, varied terrain and a true off road feel. Entries are currently full with a waiting list.

Enjoy a scenic 5 mile trail through woodland and rolling hills at the Three Counties Trot, organised by Billinge Running Club on 8 November 2025. Route fully marked and marshalled with finish and post race social at The Delph Tavern.

Run the Arnside Knott Race on Sunday 16 November 2025: a scenic 6 mile fell run above Morecambe Bay and the Kent Estuary with about 1093 ft of ascent. Expect varied underfoot terrain and crisp autumn conditions for a true challenge.

Join the David Staff Memorial Race in Sunnyhurst Woods, a brisk 6 km fell challenge with 305 m of climb that takes you up to Darwen Tower and back through scenic moorland. A spirited test for runners seeking tough trails and great views.
