PFW Running - World Diabetes Day Run
PFW Running stages a timed running event on Friday 14 November 2025 at Stanley Park, Blackpool, Lancashire, FY3 9EQ. All profits will be donated to Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF), a charity set up to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes. The event is held under UKA rules and has a Trail Running Association race permit number to be announced. Maximum entries are 100 and entries close on 13 November 2025. Refunds are not permitted; entry transfers or deferrals are allowed up to one week before the event.
Course, distances and rules
The course is a 3.1 mile loop on mostly flat tarmac with a short section on gravel. The event is a 6 hour timed format; participants may complete as many or as few laps as they wish within that time limit. Distances described include:
- 3.1 mile loop - single lap counts as a finish
- Half marathon - 4 laps plus a short out-and-back
- Marathon - 8 laps plus a short out-and-back
- Ultra - 9 or more laps
All finishers who complete at least one lap will receive an official time, a post-race gift and a bespoke medal. Age restrictions: 18-19 maximum distance marathon; over 20 no maximum distance.
