The Petzl Night Trails 10K is scheduled for 21 November 2025 at Salcey Forest (postcode NN7 2HX). The race is a trail event of 10k run as essentially a two-lap course. The route is fully marked and is mainly on crushed stone; tree detritus can make sections slippery and mucky. Salcey Forest is described as fundamentally flat. The venue has a cafe and toilets.

Logistics and rules

A head or chest torch is required to take part. Petzl will attend with demo head torches. Canicross is available; canicross runners start 10 minutes before the main field in a mass start. Organisers note that dogs can become excited in a mass start and advise entrants to consider whether this format suits their dog. Water or electrolyte will be available on course in biodegradable cups and hot drinks will be available before and after the race; bringing a foldable cup is optional. Parking is payable; the organiser has negotiated an evening parking offer of £3.50 for entrants and will provide details by email. The site is about 18 minutes from Northampton and 9 minutes from Junction 15 of the M1; the closest train station is Northampton. Entry fees are tiered: £16 before 21/10/2025 and £21 after; unaffiliated entrants pay £2 extra. There is an optional fundraising link to Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity.
