Perth Trail Series: Stay Puft Summer Series Event

Event Overview
This is a trail running event called Stay Puft, part of the Perth Trail Series Summer Series. It takes place on the Ghost House Trail in Yanchep National Park. The event name is inspired by the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from the Ghostbusters film, with references to historic ghost houses along the course.
Location and Logistics
The start and finish area is at Chocolate Drops – The Tearooms within Yanchep National Park. Participants are instructed to enter 'Chocolate Drops' into a GPS device for directions. Parking is available in marked bays within the park's carparks. Carpooling is encouraged via the organizer's social group.
A park entry fee of $8 is collected upon arrival by rangers if participants do not hold a valid parks pass. RAC members can get a discount on an annual or holiday WA National Park Digital Pass.
Course Distances
The event offers multiple course distances, categorized by a colour system:
- Black Course
- Blue Course
- Green Course
Participants can view detailed course maps online via provided links for each colour. The course is marked with blue flagging tape and arrows on the day, and participants are expected to follow these markings.
Event Day Requirements
All participants, regardless of course distance, must bring and present a personal hydration system (handheld bottle, waist belt, or pack) holding a minimum of 500ml at check-in to receive their race bib. The bib must be worn on the front and be visible at all times during the event.
Hiking poles are not permitted at Summer Series events. Due to National Park rules, pets, including dogs, are not allowed anywhere in the park, including the start/finish area and course.
Post-Race
Presentations and awards are held after the majority of participants for each course colour have finished. Participants can refuel with food, coffee, and drinks available at the finish area.
