Penmaenmawr Fell Race

The Penmaenmawr Fell Race is a mountain running event based at Capelulo Village Hall, Dwygyfylchi, LL24 8YU (GR SH 744764). The course covers 16.1 km / 10 mi with approximately 594 m / 1949 ft of ascent. Male and female course records stand at 01:08:38 (2015) and 01:22:17 (2011) respectively.

The route is partially marked. Local knowledge is beneficial and navigational skills are required. The organiser notes that experience is required to complete the course safely. Runners should prepare for uneven, steep terrain and plan navigation accordingly.

Parking is limited. Designated car parks are at GR 754769, 759769 and 749770. A free bus runs to the start; car sharing is recommended and participants should allow extra time for arrival and transfer. Minimum age to enter is over 18.
