International Snowdon Race (Râs Yr Wyddfa)

The International Snowdon Race, Râs Yr Wyddfa, is scheduled for Saturday 17 July 2027. The route totals 15.35 km, comprised of 7.16 km ascent, 7.19 km descent and 1.00 km flat, with a total elevation gain of 994 m. The average ascent grade is 13.4% with sections up to 32%. Electronic timing is embedded in the race number and the number must be visible at the summit and at the finish.

Entry is restricted to competitors aged 18 or over who have mountain running experience or have previously competed in a mountain race. Online registration is provided by TDL Events; entries for past runners open 1 March 2027 and registration re-opens for all eligible runners on 15 March 2027. Entries close when the race limit is reached. All online entries will be checked for verification.

The event is run under UK Athletics rules. There is a no refund policy; name or detail changes are permitted only until 8 June 2027 via the entries secretary. Competitors should follow marshal instructions when retiring from the race; failure to do so can affect future entry eligibility. In adverse weather the organisers may require carrying full windproof/waterproof body cover, hat and gloves, and may enforce a 1 hour 05 minute cut-off at Clogwyn. A mountain running weekend in Rhyd-Ddu, Eryri / Snowdonia on 15 August 2026 with four skyraces from 16 km to 55 km over high, technical terrain.

A very short but steep mountain race on Tryfan near Bethesda, with exposed rocky terrain and expert navigation required. Minimum age over 18 and a £1 entry fee supports Ogwen Mountain Rescue.

A hill race near Porthmadog covering 7.2 km with 564 m of ascent, partially marked and requiring navigational skills and experience. Entry is day only for £5 and teams may enter free.

A 9 mile fell race with about 2,800 ft of ascent visiting Tal y Fan and Moel Lus, featuring five ordered checkpoints and a cut off at CP2. Entry is limited to 100 and online registration opens 1/6/26.
