Pen Park Trails Fest
The Pen Park Trails Fest is a trail running event held in Peninsula State Park, Wisconsin. This gathering combines athletic competition with a celebration of the local trail system. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Friends of Peninsula State Park to assist with ongoing trail development and maintenance.
Participants are provided with course support and nutrition throughout the run. All registered participants receive a race hoodie and a completion award. Following the event, the festivities include a social gathering at Welcker’s Point featuring campfires and refreshment options. Beverages, including local beer as well as non-alcoholic and gluten-free options, are provided to runners. Food is also made available after the race for purchase.
The course utilizes the natural terrain of the park, and specific cutoffs are enforced, such as a 1:30 pm cutoff at mile 14.2 for certain participants. The event encompasses the following distance:

On-site parking is designated at the Welcker’s Point Campground, located a short distance from the start and finish lines. All vehicles entering the park are required to have a park pass. Please note that pets are not permitted in the picnic area or on the course during the event. Packet pickup is available both the day before the race at the Old Fish Creek Town Hall and on the morning of the event at the race site.
