Pen Park Trails Fest
Pen Park Trails Fest is a trail running event held at Peninsula State Park, with the start and finish at Welcker's Point Shelter in Fish Creek, Wisconsin.
Distances
- 30K
- 14K
The 30K course begins on a two-mile gravel path before moving onto the park's single-track and multi-use trails. The route ascends and descends the Niagara escarpment multiple times, reaches the tops of Sven's and Eagle bluffs, and returns to Welcker's Point Shelter for post-race food and beverages.
The 14K shares the initial gravel section with the 30K, separates near mile 5, and follows trails that include several climbs and longer descents relative to the park's topography. It also finishes at Welcker's Point Shelter with food and beverages available.
Participants receive a race hoodie, a completion medal, and a post-race beer from Sway Brewing and Blending or a nonalcoholic beverage. Course support and on-course nutrition are provided. Both distances have a six-hour time limit; the 30K includes a strictly enforced midpoint cutoff at the Eagle Panorama Aid Station (mile 14.2).
The event will contribute to the Friends of Peninsula State Park to support trail development and maintenance. The organizer does not offer refunds; registrations may be transferred or switched between distances under the event's transfer rules. Packet pickup occurs at Fish Creek Town Hall and at Welcker's Point. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
