Crossroads Trail Run

Event overview

The Crossroads Trail Run & Walk is the 17th annual trail event at Crossroads at Big Creek Nature Preserve in Door County. The event offers three course options:

• 2K
• 5K
• 10K

All participants receive a native tree and post-race snacks. Results are chip-timed and the event includes individual awards. Proceeds support Crossroads at Big Creek and its mission to inspire environmental stewardship through education, research, restoration and outdoor experiences.

Logistics and race details

The event takes place in Sturgeon Bay, WI, at 2041 Michigan Street. Packet pick-up is available in the days before the race and on race morning at the Collins Learning Center. Registration opens January 24, 2026. The listed entry fee is $30, with reduced fees of $10 for ages 8-14 and free registration for ages 1-7 and ages 70-99. To reserve a t-shirt, registration must be completed by May 15, 2026; a limited number of 2026 shirts will be available at packet pick-up for later registrants.

There will be two water stations on the 5K route and three water stations on the 10K route. Bikes, shoes with spikes, and dogs are not allowed on the race course; dogs are allowed on the property but must remain on a leash. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
