PDX 50-50
PDX 50-50 is a road and trail running event in Portland, OR, held on September 12, 2026. The event is organized by Run Pacifica, a small local running group that stages free community runs and occasional longer events.
Distances offered:
- 53 Miler listed as the 50M option, roughly 53 miles
- 50K often measures slightly long at about 31.5 to 32 miles
The start and finish are at Brooklyn Park in SE Portland, on the uphill/10th Avenue side. There are nearby stores, a coffee shop, and a bar close to the start area. The initial part of the courses is shared for approximately the first 29 miles, following the Eastbank Esplanade, the Steel Bridge, North Portland streets, Willamette Boulevard, and crossing St Johns Bridge into Forest Park.
Course notes include a roughly one mile Ridge Trail section in Forest Park that is steeper and more technical than the rest of the route. Much of the remaining route is on paved or smooth dirt surfaces such as Leif Eriksen. At the Sellwood Bridge around mile 29 participants choose the 50K return route or the longer route through River View Cemetery, Tryon Creek Park, Lake Oswego, and Oregon City before returning over the Sellwood Bridge.
The event is unsupported with no aid stations and no course markings. GPX files are provided and bringing cash or cards is recommended for buying food or drink along the way. The Forest Park stretch, about miles 11 to 21, is the longest section without resupply. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
