The Patriotic Pursuit on January 31, 2026 is a chip-timed running event at Williamsport Park in Williamsport, Maryland. Points earned count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, Endurance and Back of the Pack series and toward the Winter Series. A virtual run option is available. The event benefits Semper Fi & America’s Fund. Registered runners receive a finisher’s medal and a technical (Drifit) event shirt.

The course is a flat, gravel trail along the C&O Canal next to the river. The 5k is out-and-back. The 10k is two laps of the 5k.

Logistics and services

Packet pickup is available at the event; organizers recommend arriving about one hour before the event to check in. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before January 21. Early registration fees apply until January 15: 5k $30 ($35 after), 10k $45 ($50 after), half $65 ($70 after). Prices increase by $5 on race morning.

There are portajohns in the park. Water stations and some Gatorade locations are on course: five stations on the 10k and two on the 5k (approximate mile markers provided by the organizer). Live results will be posted on Athlinks and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race.

Awards

Experience a unique trail run on the private ThorpeWood estate in Maryland. Offering 5K and 10K distances, this club event features marked loops through beautiful natural terrain for FSRC members.

Enjoy a cross country style 5k run or walk through the scenic Hauser Hill Event Center. Participants receive a finisher medal and a pour of wine in a collectible glass at the finish line.

A *100-mile* ultramarathon on the C&O Canal towpath near the Potomac River, run as one ~40-mile loop plus two ~30-mile loops. Aid stations appear every 3–6.9 miles and the event is a WSER 2027 qualifier.

Experience the fourth annual trail run at Mount Aetna Adventist School in Hagerstown. Choose between a 3k or 5k course to support student projects and enjoy fitness within a community setting.
