The Palmetto Bluff Buffalo Run takes place on Sunday, December 14, 2025, in Bluffton, South Carolina (Old Moreland Rd). The event benefits the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy and uses an all-trail course through roughly 20,000 acres of Lowcountry land. The course combines tree-shaded single track, dirt and gravel road trail; a 6.2-mile trail segment runs into the maritime forest. The terrain can be muddy.

Logistics and awards
Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, at Palmetto Running Company, 25 Minetta Lane, Bluffton, SC. Hydration and fuel stations are located midway on the course and at the finish. The event is cup free; participants are asked to use their own hydration bottles. Relay teams and 50K runners may set up pop-up canopy tents and tables in designated support areas.
Shirts and awards: a long sleeve tri-blend shirt is guaranteed to participants registered before December 1. Finishers medals are awarded for the 10K, 30K, 50K and relay events. All individual 50K finishers receive a Buffalo Head Award. Bronze Buffalo Awards are given to overall first-place male and female in each race and to first-place relay teams. An after party and awards presentation begins at 11:30 AM with live music, a beer from a local brewery for each runner, and a basket of buffalo wings.
