Course, aid and policies

The course is a 3-mile loop based at the Yeti headquarters on Jekyll Island, with a short out-and-back on Live Oak Avenue. The loop runs counterclockwise, is described as highly runnable with minimal elevation change and a smooth surface. No pacers are allowed, except that people accompanying 100-mile runners may join on the final parade loop. Crew access to the Yeti HQ/aid area is restricted to Dark Anchor runners only.

A fully stocked aid station will provide water, electrolyte drink and typical aid-station food; lunch and dinner at the aid area are provided by Treehouse for runners only. Portable toilets will be available near the start/finish and there are park office restrooms on the loop. The organizer asks that participants bag and remove trash generated outside the Yeti HQ. Entry policies accept an entrant’s declared gender and include provisions for athletes with disabilities; AWDs must be able to run the course and finish within the event cutoff, and certain assistive devices may be allowed with approval.
