Paddy Buckley Recce - Moelwyns

This event is a guided recce of the Paddy Buckley route from Capel Curig to Nantmoor over the Moelwyns in Snowdonia National Park, North Wales, taking place on 3 May 2026. The leg covers 35 km with approximately 2,500 m of ascent. The full Paddy Buckley Round is described as a 61 mile route crossing 47 peaks with about 8,500 m of height gain; this recce focuses on one leg of that round.

Participants run in small groups led by guides who hold Mountain Leader qualifications as a minimum and who have completed the round. Guides offer route advice and practical guidance aimed at improving technical ability and route knowledge for those preparing for the Paddy Buckley Round.
