Paddy Buckley Recce - Moelwyns

This event is a guided reconnaissance run of the Paddy Buckley Round leg from Capel Curig to Nantmor across the Moelwyns in Snowdonia, North Wales. The route for this leg is 35 km with approximately 2,500 m of height gain. The date is 3 May 2026.

Participants run in small groups led by guides who hold Mountain Leader qualifications at minimum and who have completed the Paddy Buckley Round. Guides provide route knowledge, line choices and practical guidance to help runners build technical ability and confidence on this section of the round.

Entries open 17 September 2025 and close 1 May 2026. The published entry fee is £95. The minimum age to take part is 18 on the event date. The organiser is Adventure Awaits. The event offers an option to purchase XCover which may provide a refund in specified unforeseen circumstances.

The day is presented as preparation for the wider Paddy Buckley Round and as focused training on this specific leg.
