Oxford Town v Gown 2026

Oxford Town v Gown is the second annual inter-club orienteering competition organised by OUOC and TVOC around the departmental areas in the North of Oxford. Assembly and finish are at St Anne's College, with the start located in University Parks.

The planned course has an optimal route of about 6 km. The course area will include several artificial barriers and one new barrier type intended to affect route planning decisions.

Competitors declare a team when entering with the options Town, Gown, or N A. Entrants who are not members of TVOC or OUOC, who do not live in the Oxfordshire area, or who were not specifically invited are asked to select N A.

Entries submitted by the stated date are guaranteed a map; entries after that date depend on map availability. Entry fees are listed as Senior £6.00 or £7.00, and Junior £5.00. Juniors are defined as those under 21 on 31 December.

Due to safeguarding restrictions on university events, the event is restricted to participants aged 18 or over. Any under 18s present must be accompanied at all times on and off course. Participants who are not members of British Orienteering are not covered by that organisation's public liability insurance and take part at their own risk.
