Oxbow 50k

Event Information

The Oxbow 50k is a trail running ultra-marathon held on the Trans-Canada, Epinette, and Yellowquill Trails within Spruce Woods Provincial Park in Manitoba. A 15k distance is also offered. The event acknowledges it takes place on the ancestral lands, Treaty 1 Territory, and traditional territory of several Indigenous nations.

The course is described as fun, relentlessly up and down, and deceptively hard. Participant numbers are capped at 100. The course closes after 10 hours.

Registration and Policy

Registration opens on January 25. It closes once the cap is reached or by April 30. There are no refunds or deferrals if the event is cancelled due to public health restrictions, weather, or other factors beyond the organizers' control. Bib transfers are permitted until April 30.

What's Included

Participants receive access to the course, supported aid stations, first aid support, and an Oxbow 15/50 patch. Those who complete the 50k distance receive an Oxbow 50 Finisher T-Shirt, guaranteed only for registrations before April 6. A post-race meal is provided. A trail race at Brandon Hills WMA on August 29, 2026 offering 10 km, 25 km, 50 km and a 750 m kids run. Routes run mostly on single track and include The Spine ridge with broad prairie views.
