Oxbow 50k
Oxbow 15/50
Oxbow 15/50 is a trail running event held in Spruce Woods Provincial Park, Manitoba, on May 2, 2026. The course uses the Trans‑Canada, Epinette and Yellowquill Trails. The event acknowledges these lands as Treaty 1 Territory and the traditional territory and homeland of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji‑Cree, Dakota, Dene Peoples and the Metis Nation.
Distances
- 15k : one loop of the Yellowquill Trail via the Trans‑Canada from the Epinette trailhead.
- 50k : route using Epinette, Trans‑Canada and Yellowquill Trails with a second loop.
The main aid station is located near the start/finish parking area and additional aid is provided on route. Friends and crew may provide support from the Yellowquill Trailhead parking area. Entry includes supported aid stations, first aid on site, an Oxbow 15/50 patch for all participants, a locally printed Oxbow 50 finisher shirt for 50k registrants who signed up before April 6, and a post‑race meal.
Registration was capped at 100 total entries and is listed as sold out. Bib transfers were permitted until April 30. Timing is manual and there is no live tracking; results are posted after the event on UltraSignup. The organizer states that if the event is cancelled due to public health restrictions, weather or factors beyond control there will be no refunds or deferrals. Participants are expected to be self sufficient; communication is limited in the area and emergency response could take several hours. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
