Carberry, Canada • 2 May 2026

Event overview

Oxbow 15/50 is a trail running event at Spruce Woods Provincial Park, Manitoba on May 2, 2026. The event offers two distances:

  • 15k
  • 50k

The course uses the Trans-Canada, Epinette and Yellowquill Trails. The organizer acknowledges these are the ancestral lands, Treaty 1 Territory, traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples and the homeland of the Metis Nation. Manual timing will be used and results will be posted on UltraSignup after the event. The event has a participant cap of 100.

Course, aid and safety

The 50k route includes an initial run to Cabin 3 on the Epinette Trails, a return to the main aid station at the trailhead parking lot, a southward section on the Trans-Canada Trail linking to Yellowquill Trails and a second loop of the Yellowquill trails. The 15k follows one loop of the Yellowquill Trail, linking from the parking lot to the Yellowquill Trailhead and back to the Epinette Trail Head for the finish. Family, friends and crew may provide support from the Yellowquill Trailhead Parking lot.

Aid stations are provided on course, but participants are expected to carry sufficient supplies for their needs. Drop bags can be left at the Epinette Trailhead Parking Lot. The race operates as cup free; participants should bring their own cup. Communication in the area can be difficult and emergency response may take hours.
