The Over The Hill Track Club High Desert event is scheduled for December 5, 2026 in Ridgecrest, CA. All distances start and finish at the Cerro Coso Community College gym parking lot. Bathrooms and showers are available in the gym on race day. A grassy area with shade and picnic tables sits across the road for families and spectators.

The 30K and 50K use loop courses on rolling desert terrain via dirt roads. Elevation varies roughly between 2400 ft and 3500 ft. Temperature on race day can range widely, so layers are recommended. Nine aid stations are placed along the longer courses and are stocked with water, Skratch, cookies and similar items. Participants are advised to carry a water bottle between aid stations. Ibuprofen will not be provided.
The 10K follows a route through the old Goldbug Mining area and connects with the 30K route near a midcourse aid station. Finishers receive a handmade medallion.
All finishers receive a handmade ceramic medal. Awards include first overall male and female per distance, age group awards in 30K and 50K 3 deep across standard divisions, and a military division award for top eligible military finishers. Early starters are excluded from awards. Runners with multiple finishes earn milestone apparel. Shirts are guaranteed for paid entries received by November 1, 2026. Bib and shirt pickup is available at the California Welcome Center and at the start line on race day. Entry fees are non refundable and non transferable. Minimum ages apply for the 30K and 50K. Cutoff times are enforced at a midcourse aid station and at the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
