The Outlaw Trail Ultra Half Marathon is a scenic trail running event held near Hansen, Idaho, in the Sawtooth National Forest's Rock Creek Recreation Area. The race covers approximately 14.5 miles, slightly longer than a traditional half marathon, featuring a mostly gradual downhill course. Starting at Diamondfield Jack Campground, the route begins on a rugged jeep/ATV trail for the first 3 miles before transitioning to over 10 miles of single-track trail, ending at Third Fork Campground. Designed to introduce runners to trail ultras with an easier elevation profile, the race offers a unique experience in a beautiful natural setting near Magic Mountain Ski Area.
