ORRRC Stillwater 7 Miler
The event is a 7 mile running race held at Stillwater Prairie Reserve near Covington, Ohio (9750 SR 185). The course is two loops of 3.6 miles each, composed of approximately 75% dirt or mulched trails, 10% gravel, and 15% meadow. The route includes multiple crossings of the Stillwater River at about mid-calf depth. Flush toilets are available at the start and finish area.
Water is not actively staffed on course; there is an unmanned water station about two miles into each loop. Because the course uses two loops, participants may set up a personal mini-aid station on the route before starting the second loop, provided personal items are clearly marked for identification.
Parking is accessed after entering the park entrance; follow the first left toward the Big Bluestem Shelter. Check-in is required before the race and includes attaching an assigned timing chip to one shoe; look for the table with the green tablecloth for chip pickup.
Registration is available through RunSignup before the event and in person on race day; online registration remains open until approximately 15 minutes before the race begins. Minors must be registered by a parent or guardian on RunSignup or in person with a parent or guardian present to sign the waiver.
ORRRC members have the entry fee waived. Non-members pay a $10 fee for ages 15 and up; ages 14 and under enter free. Awards include first overall male and female and top finishers in Masters 40 and over, Grand Masters 50 and over, and Seniors 60 and over. Animals are not permitted except for clearly identified service dogs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
