Event Overview
The ORRRC Stillwater 7 Miler is a running event organized by the all-volunteer Ohio River Road Runners Club (ORRRC). The race is free for current club members and for participants aged 14 and under. For other participants, the fee is $10. Registration opens on August 23, 2026.
Course Details
The race takes place at Stillwater Prairie Reserve in Covington, Ohio. The course consists of two loops, each measuring 3.6 miles, for a total of approximately 7 miles. The surface is a mix of 75% dirt or mulched trails, 10% gravel, and 15% meadow. The course features multiple crossings of the Stillwater River, where water is typically mid-calf deep. An unmanned water station is located about two miles into each loop. Participants have the option to set up a personal aid station between loops.
Race Information
Pre-registration is handled online. Race day registration is also available online until approximately 15 minutes before the start, with hard copy forms if needed. Chip timing is provided by volunteer timers. Post-race refreshments are available. All finishers receive a completion award.
Awards
Awards are given to the first overall male and female finishers, as well as the first male and female in the Masters (over 40), Grand Masters (over 50), and Senior (over 60) categories.
Logistics
Parking is available at the Big Bluestem Shelter within the Stillwater Prairie Reserve. Flush toilets are located at the start/finish area. Participants are advised to arrive at least one hour before the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
