ORRRC Possum Creek 5K Trail Race
Dayton, United States • 9 Jun 2026
Event overview
The ORRRC Possum Creek 5k Trail Race is scheduled for June 9, 2026 in Dayton, Ohio (4730 Frytown Road, 45417) at Possum Creek Metropark, starting at the Sycamore Shelter. The event is presented by the Ohio River Road Runners Club (ORRRC), a 100% all-volunteer 501(c)(3) Ohio non-profit club that promotes running in and around Dayton.
Course and logistics
The trail course uses several terrain surfaces: dirt, gravel, meadow, and grass. There are no water crossings and the course has very low elevation gain and loss; trail shoes are not required. The event provides chip timing, on-course refreshments, and possible small age-group awards. There will be no shirts or finisher medals.
Parking is at the Possum Creek Metropark reservable shelter area; participants are asked to use parking lots and not park on the grass. Additional parking is available in the main park Pond Parking lot with about a 1/2 mile walk to the start/finish.
Registration, fees and other notes
Pre-registration is handled through RunSignup. Minors may be pre-registered by a parent or guardian and must have a signed liability waiver. Current ORRRC members run for free when membership is verified; non-members pay $10 for ages 15 and up and those 14 and under run free. ORRRC membership is available for an annual fee that covers access to multiple club races. Volunteers are used to support the event and volunteer sign-up is available.
